The Cheshire Nursery School is family-owned and operated by the folks at the Carrot Patch Early Learning Center in Hamden. We have fully renovated the physical space and our Director bring over 35 years of experience in the field of early childhood education. Each of our teachers holds a minimum of a bachelor's degrees in education.
We offer a discovery-based curriculum based on the Bank Street model and Creative Curriculum. With small class size and professional educators, children enjoy an exciting and meaningful educational and social experience each day.
During the academic year, we offer morning and afternoon sessions for pre-schoolers and kindergarteners. Morning kindergarteners from Cheshire can take advantage of bus service from the kindergarten program at Darcey School.
In the summertime, we offer a limited-enrollment full-day program for 3- to 7-year-olds. Children may enroll for any or all of our 2-week sessions throughout July and August, either 2, 3, or 5 days per week. We maintain a professional staff with no teenage "counselors".
Admission conditions
Children must be potty-trained to attend the nursery school program.
