I am not only CPR and First Aid certified, but I teach classes for CPR and First Aid at the American Red Cross.
I provide many extras such as keeping a daily journal for your child, a monthly newsletter with the menu for the month, and cooking gourmet as well as international meals.
I am also a couple of months from finishing my Child Development Associate and work with a wonderful advisor at Home Health and Childcare whom visits my daycare often to observe the environment and how I interact with the children. Certified in many subjects, including (but not limited to) Infant/Toddler and Preschool curriculums, Discipline in Daycare, Parents and Daycare, Nurturing a child's self esteem, understanding toddler stress and daycare, bringing nature into curriculums, and also College Certified in School Aged curriculums for vacations and summertime.
Apple Dumplings is set in a home atmosphere. To quote the phrase of a fellow provider in Massachusetts, "Keeping the Family in *Family Childcare*." The state has licensed me for 8 children. I have a curriculum program here, it is very hands on. We do crafts, gardening, singing, circle time, games, reading stories, growing butterflies, and many other fun activities. Children do not go home from my daycare with worksheets every day, but they may come home smiling and their clothes may reflect a day full of activities, LOL! Trust me, they will not be bored. |
