At Mini Blessings Day Care, the objective is to provide quality, loving care and lots of personal interaction and TLC to children in our care. Every child in our home will be treated with respect both spoken and shown. Respect for others will be demonstrated and expected. We are continually aware that children are children, not just small adults. They need constant care, attention, stimulation and challenges. All of these things will be provided in our day care home.
Here’s a little about me: I have chosen to become a home daycare provider because of my love of children, my excitement in teaching them and watching them learn, and my desire to be home with my own children. I consider the job of taking care of others most precious possessions a true privilege and I take that privilege very seriously. I have many years in the child care industry. I grew up in a day care home, and am the oldest of five children. I have extensive day care experience, work experience as a Program Leader at a daycare center for 2 years, and I have operated my own day care home since February of 1998. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry, with several course hours in child development and child psychology. In addition, I am a former Emergency Medical Technician, former surgical assistant, and have been a CPR/First Aid instructor with the American Red Cross since 1992. Therefore, safety is always a number one priority in our home. I will be providing stimulating, challenging and different age appropriate educational opportunities. I use a variety of different preschool programs and I tailor them around the children in my care to maximize the learning potential for all. |

We do have two small dogs, a Jack Russell Terrier and a Westie. They are not kept in the childrens play area, but may interact with them outdoors. They are both very friendly and love children.
