I provide quality care in a clean, safe and loving environment. I am a very patient and caring person. I have a daughter with a form of autism called aspbergers syndrome. She is 19 now, but over her nineteen years I have gained patients and understanding not only for children with disabilities, but for children in general.
I try to provide a structure with a flexible schedule. I know children are more comfortable when they know what to expect, but I do leave a lot of room for changes in the schedule based on the childrens interests.
Activities are usually based on a natural teaching technique. Since my age groups are varied it is hard to plan lessons. We will discuss whatever we see or do that day, or whatever comes up. For example last week we found some cicadas when we went for a walk, so we learned about the cicada. Everyone got to hold it we discussed the sounds they make etc.
If you visited or if you're using a childcare provider found on DaycareBear, do not hesitate to leave a review. This will most certainly help other parents!
