Professional Qualifications
Mother of four wonderful children
Bachelors degree in Psychology and working towards a second degree in Early Childhood Education
Licensed in the Department of Early Education and Care (DEEC) since 1998
Accredited in the National Association for Family Childcare (NAFCC ) since 2000
April 2010 got the WAAEYC ( Worcester Area Association for the Education of Young Children) award for " going above and beyond to impact the lives of children and their families in a positive way and have inspired fellow colleagues in the field of early care and education"
CPR and First Aid Certified
Member of the Wachusett Community Partnership for Children
Enrichment Coordinator and a founder of the local family childcare support group, Family Childcare Providers Resource Association (F.C.P.R.A)
Attend monthly child, professional, and business related enrichment trainings
Provide a safe, clean, loving, fun and educational environment, in a preschool style walk out finished basement, with various multicultural, developmental and age appropriate toys and activities that assist the children with their social, emotional, cognitive, physical and creative development.
Weekly theme based educational curriculum that includes( but not limited to): daily circle time, reading, music, creative movement, arts and crafts , dramatic play, free play, computer time and outdoor time that includes: in yard play and walks around the neighborhood, to the new town playground. and library.
Provide monthly newsletters, verbal daily open communication, written daily notes ( if requested), and daily/weekly email photos of your child’s fun filled day. I have been told that this is a big asset and is enjoyable to the parents to see and hear what their child’s daily activities consist of . It is a great opportunity for the family to communicate about their child’s day and to share his/her accomplishments.
Participate in occasional outings with other licensed family childcare programs.
