My name is Lisa Boerum and I have been providing families with quality child care for 17 years. I own and operate Awesome Beginnings Childcare in Hugo, MN.
A little about myself and my child care:
I am very proud of my business and love what I do. Caring for children is my professionally chosen career. It offers me the chance to make a difference in the world by having a positive effect on the life of a child.
Part of my home (1200 square feet) has been custom built for my child care and is used exclusively for child care. My child care has it's own driveway, entrance, kitchen, bathroom, infant/toddler bedroom, office, large playrooms, and a very large fenced playground.
The rooms of the child care are divided by 32" high walls which allow for close supervision while still allowing the playrooms to be set up into different "learning centers". Some of the learning centers include Dramatic Play, Blocks, Writing, Math, Manipulatives, Reading Loft, Infant/Toddler Manipulatives, Puzzles & Games, Art, Listening Area, Group Time Area, Music, and more.
My child care is clean, very organized, and well stocked with educational toys and supplies.
I employ a second provider.
Each year a background study is completed on me, my employee, all my family members age 13 and up and my helpers/substitutes. This background study document is available for you to review.
I have completed the training for the Child Development Associate Credential.
I am certified in CPR and Emergency Response.
I have training in SIDS, Shaken Baby Syndrome, and Child Passenger Restraint.
I attend about 65 hours of training per year (8 are required).
My home is smoke and pet free.
I have excellent references available.
I accept contracts for hours between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm.
My child care fees are very competitive. |
