As a licensed in home child care provider I meet statewide standards for servicing children in a safe, healthy, and loving environment. As a former teacher I am able to provide both structured and unstructured activities where children learn through play. Both structured preschool activities are provided and developmentally appropriate life experiences. My desire to improve my professionalism and my knowledge in caring for children is shown by my active involvement in our county child care association and my registration for training above and beyond the minimum requirement for providers. My environment is a balanced combination of the homelike, family style atmosphere and the schoolroom. My home is smoke free, has two dogs, provides a large fenced backyard complete with large playground, and provides two adult caregivers.
