Licensed energetic provider. We will play, do arts and crafts, read and much more. I have many different kinds of books and toys for children of all ages. At this time I have no pictures as soon I get some I will be sure to post them :) I am Cpr and first aid certified and I have much more trainings scheduled for the weekends in the year to come. I do work with the food program so the meals and snacks will be nutritional and good for the children. With an occational cookie now and then. We will be outside weather permitting. I have numerous toys for children of all ages inside. I have a safe yet fun environment and I am excited to be able to watch children learn and grow through it. My philosophy on disapline is some people call it discipline, I prefer guidance, No child will be hit, spanked, belittled, or otherwise intimidated at Amy’s Little Angels Daycare. Children will be treated with courtesy, patience, and respect. Guidance will be according to age and understanding level. Younger children, babies and toddlers, will be redirected to another activity. Older children will be given timeouts depending on the severity of the offense (almost always 1 minute per year of age and never more than 10 minutes). If a child becomes a persistent behavior problem, I will address it with you and we will try to resolve it together. My philosophy on teaching is I understand every child learns at there own pace. Through working with each child I will be able to find out that pace and slow down or speed up with them as need be. My philosophy on toilet training is I will be more than happy to help with toilet training your child, however I ask that you begin the training process at home, over a weekend or a vacation, before starting at daycare. I would also ask that if we decide to start toilet-training please stay with it as it is the child that gets confused if we do not stick with the process. My experience is I love kids and having them around. I went to college for elementary education. Through a rough time in my life I stopped doing that. I have always wanted to start a daycare and now is the perfect time for me to do this. I also volunteered with yound children in my sons preschool and in his school years since. I am a very involved parent and I like seeing children grow and thrive by the assistance they receive. Location I am about 5 blocks away from a park and about 7 blocks away from WK school.
I also have an open door policy. Feel free to stop in and see how your children are doing at any time of the day(preferebly not during rest time though as that cause an issue with the children that need to nap) !!!!
Also feel free to contact me during the week or even on the weekend. I am willing to do interviews on the weekend also.
