Description

My name is Debbie. I am a Licensed Provider and Kansas state certified Preschool Director with First Aid and CPR training. My education includes 27 Early Childhood college credits, a Bachelor of Arts Psychology. I have 16 years experience working with children: 6 years in preschool,6 in elementary school and 4 in church children's ministry.

We offer children a warm home feeling and a center style classroom. Children are grouped by age and developmental readiness. Our smaller groups provide children with more one-on-one time for optimal learning and social development.

We are committed to providing your child with lots of love, care, safety and attention. Daily activities help children grow at their own pace; spiritually, socially, mentally and emotionally, cognitively, and physically.

Choosing the best child care and early education program for your child is one of the most important decisions that you will make as a parent. We are excited to partner with you in the growth and education of your child.

Enrollment is on a first come, first serve basis. A registration fee and all necessary forms must be completed to be considered fully enrolled. We offer full-day or half-day. Our groups include:

Toddler - ages 2 years to 3 years

Early preschool - ages 30 mos to 3 years (toilet trained)

Preschool - ages 4 years to 5 years

Creative Learning is certified to take children on the S.R.S. program. Scholarship tuition aid is available upon approval.

Our day includes; teacher-directed learning, art, math and science, Bible, circle time, music and movement, free choice centers, and inside and outside play. We use High Scope curriculum and assesments tools.

We help children develop:

1. Love for God and others.

2. Skills for respecting others, making friends and learning to share.

3. Positive self concept and the ability to identify and express themselves with words.

4. Language skills and basic listening abilities through music, story time and hands-on activities for discovery and reasoning skills.

5. Large and small muscle coordination. Hand-eye coordination.

Creative Learning Child Care is non-denominational. During Bible Time we use Gospel Light curriculum and children learn that God made the world, He loves us and He wants to be our friend. Bible stories are told on a level children can understand.

Some of the areas we work on for Kinder Readiness:

1. Number recognition and writing numbers (also some spanish).

2. Letter recognition; writing letters both upper and lower case. Recognizing and writing full names.

3. Reading readiness by exposure to letter construction.

4. Patterns and sequences and how groups of such are formed.

5. Math concepts using number recognition and sets of same or different.

6. Science experiments, our bodies, animals, plants, insects, etc.

7. Community play for social behavior and interaction.

Younger Pre-K children are exposed to the same kindergarten concepts adjusted to their specific developmental levels. We believe even if they are not developmentally ready to master a task, they still benefit from the exposure.

We use High Scope curriculum and assessment (www.highscope.org).

For Bible time we use Gospel Light (www.gospellight.com).
