At Little Explorers Learning Center, our goal is to produce happy, intelligent, well-adjusted children. Here you will find a nurturing, educational, environment for children birth to 12 years. We recognize that each child has unique talents, learning styles, and personalities. We are a mother and daughter team.
My name is Kelly and I am the homeowner and provider. My husband, David and I have four wonderful children. Nicholas is 12, Collin is 8 1/2, Haley is 4 1/2, and Caden is 3. I have always loved being around children ever since I can remember. I baby sat through my teen, traveled with families out of town to help with their children. I worked for two early childhood centers in my late teens early 20's. I changed careers to become a cosmetologist. I spent 11 years in a high end salon providing hair care to children and their families. In the last 3 years, I received my cosmetology teaching license. I have taught for JCCC. I have found myself wanting to go back to teaching early childhood preschool. I have dearly missed and look forward to doing fun educational activities through play and exploration. I will be using a combination of my child development classes, exploring childhood classes, a little of the Montessori training I received, as well as my own children's preschool experiences. My mother, Lucy and I are looking forward to giving your child a safe, positive, preschool experience.
My mother's name is Lucy and she is the mother of two and grandmother of four children. She have been married to Tim for 38 years. She has first aid and CPR training. She completed the CERT (Citizens Emergency Response Team) course for the City of Olathe. She volunteer as a Life Buddy at Life Church two Sundays a month. She works with an autistic child during the 9:00AM service. She enjoy working with children and love the excitement they show when they are learning something new. Her reason for doing daycare at this time is to allow her to spend more time with her grandchildren and me as her business partner. |
