Mission Statement
Creative Learning Family Child Care is devoted to providing a high-quality learning experience where all children will successfully develop an enthusiasm for learning. We will encourage not just learning, but the love of learning. We will strive to promote the healthy growth and development of children by providing developmentally appropriate activities while preparing them for the future.
Philosophy
We believe that children learn through play and hands-on experiences and should be provided with an interactive environment conducive to these endeavors. Children, when provided with a variety of age-appropriate choices, will learn through inventing, and experimenting within an enriched environment. A child’s ability to pretend in play is a way of enlarging his or her view of the world.
Hours of Operation
We offer flexible schedules including Mornings, Evenings, & Weekend Care. Childcare is available in two shifts Monday – Friday from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM and 6:30 PM to 2:30 AM. We are licensed for 24 hour care therefore if care is needed at any other times please feel free to discuss your needs with us and we will try to accommodate you. Saturday or Sunday care will be provided at the discretion of the provider for an additional fee.
About the Provider
My name is Dawn and after careful thought and consideration, I have chosen to open my heart and my home and become a Quality Childcare Provider. I have several years of work history in the childcare field and have completed various Early Childhood Education courses. I am a member of The National Association for Family Child Care which provides me with resources and training opportunities to learn how to continually strive for excellence in being a family child care provider. I will continue to educate myself on how to provide a safe and loving environment to help your child to learn and grow. I am certified in CPR, First Aid, and Health and Safety. I am licensed by the California State Department of Social Services and operate within the requirements set by them. I will strive to make each day your child spends at Creative Learning an enjoyable and memorable experience.
About the Staff
The Creative Learning staff has met all the requirements set by the State of California including certification in CPR & First Aid and have passed a complete background investigation. Additionally, anyone assisting me in the care of the children has completed and will continue to engage in ongoing early childhood education training. Our staff will strive to create a caring and nurturing atmosphere to foster each child’s creativity and positive self-image.

We offer personalized care & educational programs for children ages 4 weeks to 12 years of age.
Programs Offered
We offer multiple care options and educational programs for your convenience. All are developmentally appropriate early childhood programs. The main difference is the amount of time that the child spends at Creative Learning and what services will be provided during your contracted hours of care.
Full-Time Child Care
Children will experience a wide variety of activities throughout the day and take part in a planned rest period daily for a maximum of (10) ten hours per day or 50 hours per week (Additional hours are subject to availability). Your child will enjoy nutritious meals and snacks to correspond with the number of hours spent at Creative Learning.
Part-Time Child Care
Morning or Afternoon Care is available daily for a maximum of (5) five hours per day or 25 hours per week. Your child will enjoy nutritious meals and snacks to correspond with the number of hours spent at Creative Learning.
After School Program
School age children may take advantage of attending Creative Learning after the close of the school day for a maximum of (5) five hours per day or 25 hours per week. Homework assistance will be available as well as games, arts & crafts, movies and more. Your child will enjoy nutritious meals and snacks to correspond with the number of hours spent at Creative Learning.
Drop In Care
Children who only require care occasionally may attend when needed for a maximum of (10) ten hours per day but are subject to spacing availability. This would include children that are out of school for a minimum day or school vacations. Children will be provided with a wide variety of activities to enjoy throughout the day. Your child will enjoy nutritious meals and snacks to correspond with the number of hours spent at Creative Learning.
Evening Care
Parent’s who work during the evening hours will enjoy knowing that your child is being fed a nutritious hot meal and resting in a loving home environment. Evening care hours begin at 6:30 p.m. and end at 2:30 a.m. Additional hours are subject to availability.
Hourly Care
Parents can enjoy an opportunity to get out for a few hours to run errands, doctor’s appointments, and shopping, while your children will get the opportunity to interact and have fun with other children. This program is subject to spacing availability. Your child will enjoy nutritious meals and snacks to correspond with the number of hours spent at Creative Learning.
Parent’s Night Out
This fun and exciting program will be offered approximately twice per month. Spacing is limited and availability will be on a first come first served basis. Children will enjoy lots of fun games, movies, and activities throughout the night. Siblings who do not attend our daily program are eligible to participate provided spacing is available.
Preschool-Curriculum
Preschool curriculum will be offered to assist in building an experience and skill base to prepare the children for a strong beginning in school. Our curriculum will consist of monthly themes, alphabet, numbers, shapes, colors, literacy and other age appropriate activities. This well-rounded developmentally appropriate program reaches the whole child through creative fun and play. We will offer a wide range of materials and activities to allow children to experiment and explore their world. Our goals are to foster creativity, instill joy in learning, and make learning an exciting experience. |
