I strongly believe that each child is a unique and special individual who should be treated with love and respect regardless of age, race, gender, social economic status, religious affiliation,or special needs. I am an Early Childhood Educator with over 30 years teaching and child care experience. I provide care for all aWge groups. I have special training in working with children with special needs. I provide individualized attention to each child in a warm, loving, nurturing and safe environment. We use the Creative curriculum provided by the State of Maryland. Children follow a daily schedule which includes activities such as reading and language readiness, mathematics concepts, arts and craft, science and social studies, music and movements. These activities help to enhance their social, intellectual, emotional and cognitive skills.
Home cooked meals are provided and served following the nutritional guidelines of the USDA. Children and staff follow proper health and safety guidelines, such as proper handwashing and sanitation procedures. Daily exercise indoors and outdoors. Adequate age appropriate toys and equiment are provided to help promote learning through socialization and peer interaction.
